INTERSECTIONS
Contemporary Music in Motion.
The new series of music videos produced by United Instruments of Lucilin to discover, explore and share contemporary music.
With INTERSECTIONS, United Instruments of Lucilin offers a glimpse of the vitality and diversity of the contemporary music scene. From minimalist compositions to experimental works, from electronic sounds to daring improvisations: each video in this series gives access to a composer’s work and opens a door to his or her universe.
Contemporary music is not confined to any single style.
In a world where safety is often found in categorizing, labeling, and drawing boundaries, we advocate for complexity, nuance, and openness. Like a beacon of creativity and innovation, contemporary music challenges and questions all forms of art, drawing strength from the past to inspire future generations.
By showcasing a selection of works through videos featuring high-quality audio recordings and refined aesthetics, INTERSECTIONS pays tribute to the importance of contemporary music while contributing to its dissemination.
Aware of the significance of social media, particularly YouTube, United Instruments of Lucilin is committed to providing the public with high-quality recordings and videos. While these videos can never fully replace the concert experience, they aim to reach a broader audience with whom the ensemble can share its passion for contemporary music.
Each video is the result of close collaboration between the musicians of United Instruments of Lucilin, composers with whom the ensemble has enjoyed working, and a talented technical team that has accompanied us on several projects. Each piece featured in INTERSECTIONS was specifically commissioned by United Instruments of Lucilin.
