Lucilin: Now! – Outspoken
Outspoken
Four works, four languages, from the profound to the anecdotal.
On February 25th, 2025 at 7:30pm, United Instruments of Lucilin presents another concert of the Lucilin: Now! series at Philharmonie Luxembourg: Outspoken, an evening of music exploring honesty and expression.
The concert features the world premiere of Sina Fallahzadeh’s Faghân, a work inspired by the current situation in Iran, weaving the Persian poetry of Afghan women into a musical response to violence; Kaija Saariaho’s Lichtbogen, inspired by the northern lights witnessed in Lapland; Mikel Urquiza’s nalt be clode on the frolt, a search for a forgotten song using an invented language that blends English, Dutch, and Nordic influences; and Georges Sadeler’s Chatting, which depicts a conversation between six adults and a child, portraying a child’s frustration at being unheard in a world of adult conversations.
