Save the date!
Take out your diaries and mark the 17th and 18th of September for an extraordinary musical experience. We invite you to our festival 33,7 which will take place in the Kulturfabrik in Esch-sur-Alzette in the framework of Esch2022, European Capital of Culture 2022.
33,7 is based on the idea of a gigantic musical cartography that highlights the population mix characteristic of southern Luxembourg and its French neighbouring region.
With more than 100 works by 62 composers of different nationalities, genders and generations, the diversity of the 122 nationalities of the population of the region concerned will be captured in 2022 minutes (33.7 hours!) of music.
Over the course of two days, our musicians and guest artists will offer a variety of projects including concerts, a live-cinema, multimedia installations, listening sessions and a dance party ! Francesco Tristano will close the festival with a live performance of his 33.7 minute remix of the 33.7 hour festival !

Schumacher, Sarhan and many more
Preparations are in full swing
Recordings and rehearsals
This month we have been recording Pascal Schumacherâs CTRL Variations at Unison Studios. The project is a love story, an experimental literature and a sound track to an abstract film at the same time! One could say a multimedia journey, generated by the coming together of flute, clarinette, string trio, piano, percussion, loudspeakers, video screens, putting into tight correlation music, text, graphic conception and several computers.
The one-hour project will be presented and accessible continuously during the two days of the festival.
Lino Gris at Lino Gris
The composer François Sarhan is very well known for creating his own music-theatre and multimedia works in which he himself often performs… But what is Lino Gris? It’s a brand new project with Miguel Filipe as special guest and whoever wants to unravel the mystery should definitely come to the Kulturfabrik, more precisely to âLino Grisâ, one of the many stages of the venue.
Several performances will take place during the two days, check out the programme: https://kulturfabrik.lu/project/337
